Serena Mountain Lodge
Superbly located beneath Mount Kenya and beside a teeming waterhole, Serena Mountain Lodge offers the best of both worlds. You can summit the mountain or enjoy any one of the forest trails or moorland hikes. But you don’t even have to leave your lodge – check out wildlife from your deck or the specially constructed viewing bunker which provides a close shave with wildlife!
Serena Mountain Lodge is at the foot of Mount Kenya and not that far from the Aberdare National Park in the central highlands of Kenya, a two and a half hour drive from Nairobi.
At 7200 feet, Serena Mountain Lodge offers the perfect base from which to climb Mount Kenya. Often described as more beautiful and a better climb than Kilimanjaro, even those without technical experience can reach Point Lenana at 4985m. And you will be in the safe hands of an experienced mountain guide and porters every step of the way!
The 42 rooms all provide the best in modern luxury and face out onto the waterhole ensuring you can view wildlife from your armchair! The brightly renovated rooms feature thick-pile locally woven rugs and wall-hangings, whilst the décor has been designed to provide glowing warmth and fireside comfort against the evening chill of this unique tropical mountain environment.
