10 days Africa Kenya safari-young lion cubs

10 Days Africa Kenya Safari Holiday 2024-2025 price

In January/February/March 2024 or 2025, this tour can be a great private group of photographers to the Masai Mara in Kenya. With the wildebeest migration having moved south into Tanzania at this time of year, the Mara is relatively uncrowded with human visitors. Most importantly, the resident big cats, elephants and large amounts of plains game like topi, impala, gazelle and zebra remain in the Mara, allowing for high-quality viewing with much lower numbers of tourist vehicles than at other times of year.

Its rolling grasslands and acacia savannah have time and again been captured on film with the movie “Out Of Africa” being the most famous. Masai Mara is home to the “Big Five” (Elephant, Buffalo, Lion, Leopard and Rhino) and over 450 bird species. Apart from the big five, the Masai Mara is most famous for the spectacular annual migration of over a million wildebeest, zebra, gazelle and other animals from the Serengeti in northern Tanzania crossing the Mara River into Kenya in search of fresh feeding grounds, which takes place in late July or August.
