Well positioned in the Mara game reserve the camp is nestled amongst a cool canopy of riverine trees where you can really relax and enjoy the peace & tranquility of the bush. Bateleur has over 30 years experience enabling us to provide you with that extra special experience away from the crowds.

The tents are all made to a high specification, completely water and insect proof, fully furnished and carpeted with en suite facilities for your comfort. The beds are extremely comfortable with fresh clean linen and animal print bed spreads in keeping with the wild surroundings. Table and chairs on your own verandah allow you to sit out and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

The dining area is the focal point of the camp where you can discuss your exciting events and sightings over a sumptuous 3 course dinner cooked traditionally over hot coals by an excellent chef of over twenty years service to Bateleur. You are served on linen covered tables with Bateleur's own china ware and glass stemware. Water, tea & coffee, beer and wine are all included. Home baked bread is prepared daily so it is fresh for your breakfast everyday. Not only do you take your meals in camp but you can enjoy the thrill of picnics out in the bush.

Menus are varied and offer a range of meat and fish dishes with plenty of fresh fruit & vegetables; we can cater for special appetites on request. Awake in the morning to be served hot tea & coffee to ready you for your morning game drive and then enjoy a picnic breakfast and return to camp for a hearty lunch.
