Laikipia is a pristine natural area formed by the Laikipia National Reserve and the Laikipia Plateau. It is the gateway to the rugged northern Kenya. Lakipia consists of huge private nature cattle ranches and the territory of the Samburu tribe. From the very beginning, Laikipia its nature protected. Most cattle ranches share their country whatsoever with the wild animals. The area around the original Laikipia National Reserve is a protected area for elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo and animal species endemic to northern Kenya.
